Start assessing your compliance with the new standards now, as part of your scheduled audits.
With the new Standard now being introduced, it is an important time for homes to self-assess their preparedness. To assist with the transition, MOA has developed a compliance bridging tool. This tool will help homes to proactively identify and address gaps in compliance with the new Standards, while continuing to meet your obligations under the existing Standards.
Our stand-alone bridging tool focuses on the new requirements in the 2021 Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard when compared with the 2008 New Zealand Health and Disability Service Standards.
To support providers through this challenging time, the MOA bridging tool will be available free of charge from 1 November 2021.
From September this year, our full audit program has supported alignment with both the 2008 Health and Disability Services Standards and the 2021 Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard. Our audits will continue to be updated in line with our annual schedule of tools into 2022, allowing homes to transition in full confidence.
The renewed pressure to change and remain compliant can be stressful for any home; MOA is here to help.
